Andhra Pradesh pacer Harishankar Reddy sent MS Dhoni's stump cartwheeling in an intra-squad practice match of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Dhoni couldn't do much against a sharp incoming delivery which uprooted his leg stump.
The CSK captain doesn't get out in this way too often and it was a peach of a delivery by the youngster to get rid of him. The picture and video of the dismissal was soon viral on social media.
Harishankar clicked a picture with Dhoni after the memorable wicket and posted the photo on social media. He called it a dream picture for him. "❤️Dream pic ❤️#msdhoni ❤️", the caption read.
The 22-year-old pacer was bought by Super Kings in the IPL 2021 auction at his base price of Rs 20 lakh. He recently played five List A matches for Andhra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021 and picked up 8 wickets. His best figures of 4/30 came against Jharkhand.
CSK began their pre-season camp a month before the IPL 2021 which is set to start on April 9. Apart from skipper Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sai Kishore, and few other players have already joined the camp.
