Kane Williamson led SRH into the finals of the IPL 2018 and has been a pillar of their batting.
Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) Kane Williamson was handy for his team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. He played crucial innings for SRH in the tournament, and the most important one came in the Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Williamson proved to be a valuable player for his team, but with talks of IPL mega-auction coming up next year, there isn't surety of his spot in the franchise. Fans were worried if SRH would retain or buy him back in the auction.

If a team has already retained 2 overseas players, they can’t use the Right To Match (RTM) for an overseas recruit. So if SRH retains David Warner and Rashid Khan, they can't RTM Williamson which will make him available for other teams.
But skipper Warner has cleared that they will go after Williamson in the auction and won't let him go.
A couple of fans asked Warner about the New Zealand cricketer on Instagram, to which he replied, “We will not lose him". He also ensured they will bid for Kane. “We will. Don’t worry. Well, hope they do. I want him”, said the SRH captain.
