A Statistical look at Sunrisers Hyderabad's Indian Premier League 2020 Campaign.

By Jasveer Singh Kharra - 11 Nov, 2020

Sunrisers Hyderabad the one-time IPL champion had a good season this year as they qualified for the playoffs for the fifth consecutive time and finished at third position with eight wins from sixteen matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's season began with a loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai and then they also lost their second match but registered their first win in their third match. They had a poor first half as they lost key players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mitchell Marsh due to injuries and had only three wins from the first nine matches.

But bounced back in the second half and registered three consecutive big wins in the last three league matches and thus qualified for the play-offs. In the Eliminator they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore but lost to Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 after a tough fight.

When it comes to performances their bowling attack was superb throughout the season. Sandeep Sharma and Jason Holder did well with the new ball, T Natarajan impressed with his yorkers and Rashid Khan as usual was outstanding in middle overs. In batting David Warner, Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey did well and the likes of Abdul Samad, Priyam Gard, and Abhishek Sharma too played one or two good knocks.
