The Qualifier 2 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Abu Dhabi saw some top-class batting by DC whose captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first.

DC sent in Marcus Stoinis to open with Shikhar Dhawan and together they added 86 runs in 8 overs before Stoinis fell for 38 in 27 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. Captain Iyer struggled for 21 runs, but it was the partnership between Dhawan and Hetmyer that set DC up for a good total.

While Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 42 in 22 balls with 4 fours and 1 six, Dhawan scored his 4th fifty in IPL 2020 and was dismissed for 78 in 50 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. The duo added 52 runs in 5 odd overs, taking DC to 189/3 in 20 overs.

For SRH, it was a poor day in the field with multiple drop catches and misfields. Rashid Khan (1/26), Sandeep Sharma (1/30), and Jason Holder picked a wicket as well but went for 50 runs.

The Cricket fraternity was applauding a brilliant knock from Dhawan who is having his best IPL thus far, going past IPL 2012 when he made 569 runs.
