SRH chased down RCB's 131/7 with two balls to spare.
Asked to bat first, RCB posted 131/7 in 20 overs. It was a disappointing batting performance as none of them besides AB de Villiers (56 off 43 balls) managed to touch the 35-run mark.
For SRH, Jason Holder was the stand-out bowler, claiming 3 wickets by conceding only 25 runs in his four overs. T Natarajan was also brilliant with the ball, taking 2 for 33, including the prized scalp of De Villiers, in his four-over quota.
In reply, SRH overhauled the target in 19.4 overs with 6 wickets in hand. After losing the top three wickets early, Kane Williamson anchored the chase and remained unbeaten on 44-ball 50 while Holder played a valuable cameo of 20-ball 24* to see the team through.
With this victory, SRH set up a clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Qualifier 2 while RCB got knocked out of the tournament.
Cricket experts lauded Holder’s all-round brilliance and Williamson’s composed knock in Sunrisers' impressive win over RCB.
