Mumbai Indians (MI) are facing Delhi Capitals (DC) in the first qualifier of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Asked to bat first, the defending champions lost skipper Rohit Sharma for a first-ball duck. But the duo of Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav added a 62-run stand for the second wicket to steady the ship.

R Ashwin broke the partnership by dismissing De Kock for 25-ball 40 while Anrich Nortje dismissed Suryakumar Yadav for 38-ball 51.

In the death overs, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya wreaked havoc on DC bowling attack. The duo forged a 40-run stand in just four overs to help post MI a mammoth 200/5 on the board.

While Kishan remained unbeaten on 55 off 30 balls, Hardik finished with 37 not out off 14 deliveries.

Cricket experts were mighty impressed with MI’s batting display in the must-win game, especially the finishing touch provided by Kishan and Pandya.
