Monu Singh made his debut for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020.
Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) medium-fast bowler Monu Singh turned 26 on Thursday. He has been part of the franchise for three years but made his debut for them in IPL 2020.
The official Twitter account of CSK posted a video of Monu on a special day. MS Dhoni and Faf du Plessis can be seen holding him tightly in the air while Shardul Thakur covered his face with cake.

As mentioned by CSK, the clip is from Karn Sharma's birthday celebration when Monu became a victim of the cake smashing. "At Karn's birthday bash, guess who had a pre-birthday smash... #SuperBirthdayMonu @msdhoni #WhistlePodu.", wrote CSK.
Monu got an opportunity to play for CSK after being benched in IPL 2018 and 2019. They included him in the playing XI against Royal Challengers Bangalore where he bowled two overs and conceded 20 runs.
