With CSK's exit in IPL 2020, Shane Watson ends his cricket journey.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Shane Watson retired from all forms of cricket after his team's journey in the IPL 2020 came to an end. The franchise's official Twitter account posted a tribute video for the Australia cricketer in which he mostly talks about his journey with CSK.
Watson was picked by Super Kings for INR 4 crore in IPL 2018 auction and he played three seasons for the franchise. The 39-year-old played a big role in CSK's IPL 2018 win. It was his best outing in terms of most runs scored throughout his IPL career.
In IPL 2018, Shane scored 555 runs at a strike-rate of 154.59 runs and he also smashed 2 hundred in the tournament, one of which came in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Watson loved the backing he got from MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming in CSK. He wasn't in good form during IPL 2019, but the opener was still not dropped from the eleven, and he showed his worth in the final with a big knock although they lost.
"To our beloved Watto Man, thank you for the memories in #yellove. Kneenga Vera Level, now and always. ???????? #WhistlePodu @ShaneRWatson33 #ThankYouWattoMan," CSK wrote on Twitter.
