DC coach hails Rahane after his brilliant knock v RCB, says hard work never goes out of fashion.
Delhi Capitals' assistant coach Mohammad Kaif has heaped lavish praise on Ajinkya Rahane after his match-winning knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday (November 3), as former batsman described the latter as “the ultimate role model” for the youngsters.
Chasing 153 against RCB, Shikhar Dhawan and Rahane played the brilliant knocks of 54 and 60 respectively, as well as, added 88 runs for the 2nd wicket to help Delhi won the game by 6 wickets with six balls to spare, taking the DC into the playoffs of the IPL 2020 in Abu Dhabi.
Following the team’s crucial win over RCB, Kaif took to Twitter to laud Rahane for playing a crucial role in the most vital game for the Capitals, saying his performance proved that hard work never fails to pay off and goes out of fashion.

The DC coach tweeted: “If you fail to prepare you are preparing to fail. @ajinkyarahane88 lives by this dictum and is the ultimate role model for every youngster with his single-minded approach. His role in winning the most crucial game for @DelhiCapitals proves why hard work never goes out of fashion.”
Noteworthy, Rahane has so far played six matches in the ongoing IPL 2020 and scored 111 runs at an average of 18.50 with his most substantial innings of IPL 2020 against RCB on Monday.
DC will now lock horns with defending champions Mumbai Indians in the first IPL 13 Qualifier and the winner of that match will qualify directly for the finals on 10th November.
