Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Jasprit Bumrah got his hands on the purple cap with a brilliant performance against Delhi Capitals (DC) He now has 23 wickets in IPL 2020 with a better average and economy than DC's Kagiso Rabada, who also has the same number of scalps.
In a clash against DC on Saturday, Bumrah picked up 3/17 as MI's bowling unit restricted the opposition to just 110/9 in 20 overs. Apart from the India pacer, Trent Boult picked up 3/21.
Bumrah talked about his performance in the mid-innings break, and said more than the purple cap, he is focused on the two points for his team.

"Not a bad day, a hot afternoon here, we had to travel a lot, trying to be clear in what I wanted to do, and wanted to do well," he told the host broadcasters.
"Not worried about the purple cap, it is important that the team wins," the pacer added.
Bumrah has been used by the skipper at different stages of the game. The stand-in captain Kieron Pollard brought him into the attack as second change bowler against DC.
"I am ready to bowl anytime during the 20 overs, I like the challenges and it always keeps me in the game," he said.
