Gaikwad helped CSK notch up their second consecutive win in IPL 2020 with a superb fifty versus KKR.
After beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by eight wickets last Sunday, CSK pulled off just as impressive a win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men are having a nice conclusion to a campaign where a disastrous start left them too much ground to cover at the end.

Gaikwad, whose superb knock of 72 adorned CSK's response to KKR's 172/5, stressed on much the same, adding that the turnaround could gain them momentum with the next season not too far away.
"Obviously looking to continue my form and win for the team, nothing else matters. Hopefully, we finish the tournament with a win and continue the momentum next year," Gaikwad told teammate Shane Watson in a video posted over official IPL Twitter handle.
"Atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Does not feel we are out of the tournament. The atmosphere during the first game and during this game was the same. It helps a lot," he added.
To Watson, the former Australia all-rounder, Gaikwad said "it was a dream batting with you" and in return, received words of encouragement from the veteran.
"It has been a privilege to see Ruturaj bat so incredibly well and so composed. For a young guy and at a big stage like IPL, to be able to bat like he has is very impressive. And to be able to take on guys like Pat Cummins, Ferguson and Sunil Narine," said Watson.
