Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a last-ball thriller on Thursday (October 29). It was Ravindra Jadeja's clean striking in the last few overs which took CSK over the line.

CSK were once again losing momentum in the end against KKR, but this time Jadeja ensured they don't end up on the losing side. After the win, fans targetted former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar who believes Jadeja should not have been part of India's T20I squad for the Australia tour.

A fan asked him to comment on Jadeja and he added that Akshar Patel should have been picked over him. Replying to him, Manjrekar wrote, "completely agree".

The comment backfired after two days as the CSK all-rounder smashed unbeaten 31 runs off just 11 balls and bowled an economical spell of 1-20 in this three overs. CSK needed 7 runs off the last two deliveries, and Jadeja hit successive sixes off Kamlesh Nagarkoti to secure a six-wicket victory for his team.

Twitterati couldn't stop taking a jibe at Manjrekar over his post. Here are the tweets:
