England and Rajasthan Royals’ star speedster Jofra Archer is “just counting days down” left for him to free from the bio-secure bubble as he has been trapped in for long, more than any other players.

Before coming to the ongoing IPL 2020 in the UAE, Archer spent nearly 3 months in bio-secure environments for England's home series against West Indies, Pakistan, and Australia.

Still, the pacer is in bio-bubble with the RR team in Dubai for his IPL 13 stint and the English star is eagerly waiting to be out of the world of bio-secure bubbles having been there since July 2020.

He has been one of the top performers in the ongoing IPL 2020 where he has so far picked 17 wickets from 12 games at an average of 18.82 for Royals in the UAE.

Archer told British media: “You’re just counting days down till you’re free again. I might actually get a calendar just to cross them down to feel like the days are going faster. It has been a little bit better than being trapped at the cricket ground. You’re not at the ground but you still can’t get away from cricket.”

The 25-year-old admitted to feeling a bit of cabin fever in the COVID-19 bubble and he is now counting days down till to be free again from the challenging bio-bubble.

He signed off by saying, “I’ve probably done the most bubble days out of anyone. From an on-field point of view, it’s fine. Being in a Covid bubble, you are going to need your family with you. It helps you stay sane... You’re still going to play and train. But when you’re done, you’re just counting days down.”
