Delhi Capitals (DC) speedster Kagiso Rabada is enjoying playing under coach and Australian batting legend Ricky Ponting and said working with him feels like a dream come true for him.

Rabada has followed Ponting's career while growing up and he has been a big fan of the former Australia batsman.

"For me, working with a guy like Ricky Ponting, This is a guy like I used to watch growing up and used to be in awe of. Now he is here, basically showing me his brain and how he used to go about it. That actually gives me insights to understand how great he is.

"I worked with Rahul Dravid as well. It's amazing to work with these legends of the game. Ryan Harris, such a phenomenal bowler, used to watch him bowl, he is here with us and I can ask him anything I want," Rabada said on the latest episode of India Today Inspiration.

The South Africa pacer loves the team culture of Delhi Capitals under Ponting and credited him and senior players for creating a healthy atmosphere in the team. A good atmosphere is very important in the success of a side.

"The team is managed extremely well. Rick has done a great job, Shreyas has done a great job. The senior players, I am considering myself a senior because of the amount of cricket I have played.

"Shikhar is there, Ajinkya is there, Stoinis is there, you got quite a few guys who are internationally experienced. At the same time, I am still young, I am at 25.

"That's what this team is about. It's still young. It's filled with players who can be future greats. Young Indian players and youngsters like Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul and players who can be future greats for their countries. The hunger is there, you don't have to force it out of anyone.

"That said, Ricky has done a great job of managing us. It's a very nice balance. It's very chilled, we don't put ourselves under pressure. A young change room is very vibrant and very relaxed and on the field, we want to prove ourselves and prove we can win it as a team. That youthful exuberance is lifting us, with the mix of experience," Rabada said.
