With Rajasthan Royals still having a chance of making the IPL 13 play-offs, Jos Buttler has expressed his hunger for more success with the bat ahead of RR’s crucial 40th game of the ongoing IPL 2020 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday (October 22) in Dubai.

As the Royals enter the business end of the ongoing IPL 2020 in the UAE, the England wicketkeeper-batsman said he has not quite scored as many runs as he would have liked to, but now having got momentum, the right-hander wants to help the RR win matches by scoring more runs.

However, Buttler has not been opening for the Royals since Stokes came in, but he has managed to score 262 runs in 8 matches at an average of 32.75 in the middle-order for the franchise.

At the moment, the RR is placed at the 6th spot on the IPL 2020 points table with 8 points from 10 matches and now they have to win all remaining four matches to qualify for the playoffs, and they now a brighter chance to make it to four after KKR’s massive loss to RCB on Wednesday.

In an official RR release, Buttler said: “I have been doing okay, not quite scored as many runs as I would have liked to and help the team win matches. We have started to play better in the last few matches. We probably should have won the last three but have only managed to win one of those, so we now have four matches remaining all of which are must-win for us.”

He signed off by saying, “We will need to win all four games to give us a chance of making the playoffs. There is obviously a bit of a gap between the top four and us and we know that equation for us, so we move on to the next game with a hope to do well and hopefully win against the Sunrisers [Hyderabad].”
