Dwayne Bravo, who got ruled of the remainder of IPL 2020 season due to a right groin injury, weighed in over Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) performance in the tournament so far, saying their campaign hasn't been what the players or fans expected.

In an emotional message to fans, the CSK all-rounder also expressed his dejection over leaving the camp at this stage of the season. The Caribbean star is expected to fly back home later this week from UAE.

Bravo, in a video message shared by CSK on Twitter, urged the fans to keep supporting the yellow brigade and expressed confidence they will come back stronger 'like the champions' they are known to be.

Having lost 7 out of their 10 games, CSK are currently placed at the bottom in the eight-team points table. They are likely to miss out on a play-off berth for the first time in the history of the tournament.

"It's sad news, it's sad to be leaving my team CSK. To all our CSK fans, I want you all to keep encouraging the team, keep supporting, all the true die-hard CSK fans. This wasn't a season we expected or our fans wanted, but we gave it our best. Sometimes, our best, the results don't show," Bravo said in the video message.

"Keep supporting us and I can guarantee you we're going to come back stronger and better like champions. One of the most successful franchises, I feel we should be proud to be members and fans of CSK."

Dwayne Bravo featured in only 6 matches for CSK this year as he had missed a few games at initially due to injury concerns. While the ace all-rounder failed to impress with the bat, he managed to claim 7 wickets in the competition and bowled well at the death in the limited opportunities.
