MS Dhoni completed his 200th IPL appearance when he turned up for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) versus Rajasthan Royals (RR) clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday (October 19).

The CSK skipper became the first-ever cricketer to feature in 200 IPL games, heading the overall chart with the likes of Rohit Sharma (197), Suresh Raina (193), Dinesh Karthik (191) and Virat Kohli (186) completing the top five.

However, Dhoni and his team had another forgettable outing in the tournament. While he scored run-a-ball 28, CSK coped a humiliating 7-wicket defeat after posting 125/5 on the board batting first.

In the chase, RR rode on Jos Buttler’s 48-ball 70* to overhaul the target with 15 balls to spare.

For his unbeaten knock, Buttler received the ‘Player-of-the-Match’ award and also a prized possession in the form of Dhoni's CSK jersey from his 200th IPL game.

The official Twitter handle of IPL shared Buttler’s picture holding Dhoni’s No. 7 jersey with the caption: “Buttler all smiles with a prized possession.”
