Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) batsman Glenn Maxwell has been a major let down for his franchise this season. Maxwell, who was bought by KXIP for INR 10.75 crore in the IPL 2020 auction, scored just 58 runs in 9 matches.

Maxwell is known for his ability to hit the ball clean and far, but, surprisingly, he has scored runs with a strike-rate of just 92.06. Apart from it, the Aussie batsman hasn't hit a six in this IPL till now, even after facing 63 deliveries.

The last time Maxwell scored a half-century in IPL was in 2016 and since then his highest score is just 47 runs.

When KXIP secured a win over Mumbai Indians (MI) in a super over on Sunday, fans slammed Maxwell for not being contributing once again. He got out on a duck and left his side struggling for a finish. It has become repetitive now, and fans on Twitter are surprised KXIP is not looking for his replacement in the playing XI.
