Tripathi has done well opening the innings for KKR.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Rahul Tripathi was reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during the 35th match of the ongoing IPL 2020 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Abu Dhabi on Sunday (October 18).
Tripathi admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.3 of the Code of Conduct, but the nature of his offence or the incident that warranted the reprimand was not specified yet.
An IPL statement reads: “Mr Tripathi admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.3 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.”

Notably, Tripathi gave a fine start to KKR against SRH, scoring 23 off 16 balls and then stitched 48-run opening stand with Shubman Gill before getting cleaned up T Natarajan in Abu Dhabi.
The KKR eventually won the thrilling match via super over after the scores were tied at 163 at the end of the regulation 20 overs thanks to magical bowling performance by Lockie Ferguson, who took 5 wickets.
With the thrilling win, KKR got the much-needed two points to take their tally to 10 while SRH with 6 points are in serious danger of missing the play-offs in the ongoing IPL 13.
KKR will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next IPL 2020 contest on 21 October in Abu Dhabi.
