Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Quinton de Kock played a sensational knock against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to earn a Man of the Match. De Kock played an unbeaten 78-run innings to finish the match with 19 balls left.

After winning the match by 8 wickets, De Kock revealed head coach Mahela Jayawardena helped him with his batting. He had a chat with Jayawardena after MI's win against Delhi Capitals. De Kock had scored a half-century in that game, but he couldn't finish the match.

"Those shots [on the leg-side] are just one of the shots I have in my armory. I don't plan to do that, it is just natural. It is just about keeping my balance and playing them as I see them. Last game I was disappointed I didn't finish the game. Mahela had a couple of words with us. So I had to rectify that. Mahela can come hard at you if you do something ordinary”, de Kock said at the post-match presentation.

“To be honest, I have played this game enough to know you can't do anything about it if you drop one. You have to carry on and do the best for your team. I am a better keeper than that. I'm working on some aspects of the keeping, but I think I can keep improving on that aspect of the game."

Mumbai Indians are currently at the top of the points table with six wins in eight matches. They have won five consecutive matches in IPL 2020 and their spot in playoffs looks certain from here.
