Bumrah has so far featured in all seven matches for Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL 13.
Jasprit Bumrah made his Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2013 and since then his stature has grown rapidly and he has now become an indispensable asset for both the Indian cricket team in all formats, as well as, for the defending champions MI.
He has been phenomenal in death overs and is a vital cog in MI's bowling wheel over the years and this season also in the UAE - where the yorker specialist has been pairing with Trent Boult and James Pattinson in the ongoing IPL 2020.
Bumrah has so far played seven matches and scalped 11 wickets at an average of 20.18 with 76 dot balls from 28 overs for MI in the ongoing cash-rich T20 league and yet again impressed his bowling coach Shane Bond who described Indian pacer as “one of the best fast bowlers in the world.”
At the moment, MI are at the second spot with 10 points and Bumrah has played a significant role in the team's success in the ongoing IPL 2020 and Bond feels the bowler’s willingness to improve his game has made him one of the best fast bowlers in the world.
Bond said in a video posted by franchise on Twitter ahead of Mumbai Indians' match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday (October 16) in Abu Dhabi:“It's been really fun and I always loved working with Bumrah. Six years now. The thing I like about Jasprit is his willingness to want to improve.”
The coach added, “He has turned up the series, got another different ball. When you are seeing it from a player, who is self-motivated, doing things in the background to make themselves better. Then there is no surprise to me that he's one of the best fast bowlers in the world.”
