Rahane restricted the opposition to just one run while they expected a six.
Delhi Capitals (DC) cricketer Ajinkya Rahane showed the presence of mind and pulled off an excellent effort near long-off boundary ropes against Rajasthan Royals (RR). It was almost a six, but Rahane did his best to leave everyone surprised.
It was the 20th over of the match when RR needed 22 to win the match. After bowling a wide, Tushar Deshpande nearly conceded a six off his first delivery. The ball was away from Rahul Tewatia's body and he had a hard swing at it to get maximum runs. But Rahane was deployed near the boundary for the job.

The match could have turned either way had Tewatia got six off the first delivery. He has done it for RR twice this season and with IPL debutant Deshpande bowling, he had a chance to put the youngster under pressure. Tewatia was so certain of the ball sailing over Rahane's head that he ran only one run.

Eventually, Rajasthan fell 13 runs short of the target and lost their fifth match of the tournament. They could only manage 148/8, despite being in the hunt at one stage.
They needed just 39 runs in the last five overs, but Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje ensured RR struggle for each run which resulted in a victory for them. DC is now the table toppers with six wins in eight matches.
