In an exciting development for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), West Indian hard-hitter Chris Gayle has now fully recovered from his stomach bug and returned back on the training ground on October 12.

The veteran opening batsman had suffered a stomach infection and was also temporarily admitted to the hospital that forced him to be out of the ongoing IPL 2020 in the past week.

Gayle is yet to feature in the ongoing IPL 2020 for KXIP but was to play his first game in the tournament against Sunrisers Hyderabad, unfortunately, a bout of food poisoning didn't allow him.

Well, Gayle is now fully fit to return to KXIP XI for their next IPL 13 clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday, October 15 and even the Windies star himself has hinted that he may get his first IPL game of the 13th season against the RCB in Sharjah.

In a video shared by KXIP on its Twitter handle, Gayle was seen optimistic about the franchise’s chances in the ongoing IPL 13 despite his team lying at the bottom of the points table with just one win from seven games so far in the tournament.

Gayle said in the short video: “To all the fans out there, the wait is over. The Universe Boss is back. I know you all have been waiting for such a long time, the wait is over unless something dramatic happens to the Universe Boss again, which I hope not.”

He signed off by saying, “You know it is still possible. I know we are at the bottom of the table but it is still possible. Seven games to go and we believe we can win all seven, it is still possible. I urge each and every one of the guys to still have the self-belief like I said the only way we can go is up, it is only up from here. So, gonna do it and we can do it.”
