Kohli led from the front, as the next best score was Padikkal's 33.
The 25th match of the IPL 2020 saw Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Dubai in the second of the doubleheaders on October 10. Both teams are in severe need of a win, mostly CSK, who have just 2 wins under their belt.
RCB won the toss and chose to bat first. They brought in Gurkeerat Singh and Chris Morris for Moeen Ali and Mohammed Siraj. CSK also made one change, leaving out Kedar Jadhav and bringing in N Jagadeesan.
The start for RCB was not ideal as Deepak Chahar sent Aaron Finch back for 2 runs. Devdutt Padikkal made 33 but fell to Shardul Thakur, and RCB also lost AB de Villiers in the same over as well. Sundar made 10 runs, while Shivam Dube contributed 22* in 14 balls with 2 fours and 1 six.

But it was all about Virat Kohli who shouldered the innings and took RCB to a respectable total. He made 90* in 52 balls with 4 sixes and 4 fours to his name. His captain's knock enabled RCB to 169/4 in 20 overs, enough to give the shaky CSK batting lineup some challenge.
Shardul Thakur was the best CSK bowler with 2/40 in 4 overs, while Chahar gave 10 runs in 3 overs for one wicket.
Virat Kohli received rich praise for his amazing knock from the cricket fraternity who tweeted rich praise for the RCB skipper.
