Ravindra Jadeja was one of the most exciting talents on the U19 players draft back in 2008 when the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was to start. Jadeja was part of the Indian U19 World Cup-winning team led by Virat Kohli and has done well in the tournament.

He was picked by the Rajasthan Royals team and then captain Shane Warne nicknamed him “Rockstar” for his attitude and skills. Jadeja provided a small teaser of his talent with 6 wickets in two seasons for the 2008 IPL champions.

He missed the 2010 edition due to suspension, but his career-changing move came in 2012 when he was bought by Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni. Dhoni formed the Ashwin-Jadeja spin combo and CSK managed to stay on the top of other teams owing to Jadeja’s amazing all-round abilities.

Jadeja has previously highlighted the role of MS Dhoni in his growth as a cricketer and recently, he took to Twitter to take part in the  'How it started v How it‘s going' trend, where people share their photo when they started out and compare it with where they are now in life or career.

Jadeja shared a throwback photo with Dhoni from IPL 2012 and 2020.

The left-handed all-rounder has had a brilliant career so far, winning the IPL in 2018 with CSK and playing in multiple finals as well. He has 2021 runs and 111 wickets as of now in 176 games, including the numbers from the ongoing IPL 2020 as well. He has played well in the IPL 2020 so far, picking 3 wickets in 6 matches and making 94 runs including his maiden IPL 50.
