Tripathi scored 81 runs for KKR in a close win against Chennai Super Kings.
Bollywood star and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan praised Rahul Tripathi for playing a match-winning knock on Wednesday (October 7). He almost scored half of KKR's runs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Tripathi added 81 off 51 deliveries after being asked to open the innings. When he went to receive the Man of the Match award for his knock, SRK shouted “Rahul, naam toh suna hi hoga" from the stands.
After the match, he also posted couple of tweets for the star of the match.

"We were a few runs short, but the bowling made up for it at the end. Well played boys of @KKRiders And have to mention our @ImRTripathi ‘Naam toh suna tha....kaam usse bhi kamaal hai’ Be healthy all of you and rest well. @Bazmccullum will see u soon," wrote SRK on Twitter.
KKR, after scoring 167, made sure they don't let CSK chase down the target so easily. Although at one stage it did look like an easy win for CSK, KKR came back strong in the death overs and restricted the Super Kings to 157/5, 11 runs short of their target.
