Ashwin warned Finch who left his crease way before the ball was bowled.
Delhi Capitals (DC) spinner R Ashwin gave a warning to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener Aaron Finch after he left the crease way before the ball was bowled, during the 19th match of IPL 2020.
When Ashwin casually stopped his bowling action and looked at Finch, it was not only a warning to him but to all the batsmen to stay inside the crease. The sight made former Australia cricketer and Delhi's head coach Ricky Ponting giggle.
But the fans on social media were not happy with Ashwin avoiding mankading. They wanted him to go for the wicket and feel it was not right from his side to let go of an opportunity.

Ashwin has always been in the discussion when it comes to mankading. He had sparked a debate last year after mankading Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals. The cricket fraternity was divided over the dismissal, but Ashwin had received huge support for his move.
The 34-year-old off-spinner has cleared that it's first and last warning for the batters in IPL 2020 and he won't stop himself from dismissing a batsman next time.
