MI batted first after winning the toss and made 208/5.
MI won the toss and decided to bat first, but lost captain Rohit Sharma for six runs. Suryakumar Yadav (27) and Quinton de Kock (67) added 42 runs together. Then De Kock added 70 plus runs with Ishan Kishan before getting out to Rashid Khan.
Meanwhile, Ishan was looking to cut loose and decided to attack Sandeep Sharma. On the last ball of the 15th over, Sandeep bowled a slower ball, which Kishan tried to hit towards the long-on boundary. It was a flat hit and everyone expected it to go for a boundary.
The man patrolling that area was Manish Pandey, who had already dropped a catch, which went for a six, and has misfielded a ball, which went for four. However, showing great agility and justifying his reputation as one of the best Indian fielders, Pandey dived to catch the ball centimeters above the ground, to complete perhaps the catch of the tournament, thus far.
Kishan had to go back to the pavilion for 31 runs in 24 balls.

Meanwhile, Hardik (28), Pollard (25*) and Krunal (20* in 4 balls) took MI to 208/5 in 20 overs. Sandeep Sharma with 2/41 was the best bowler for SRH.
