Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) might have defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 7 runs in Dubai on Friday (October 2), but the 2016 IPL champions coped a big blow as pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar sustained an injury and walked off the field.

At the start of the 19th over of CSK’s innings, Bhuvneshwar could deliver only one ball and left the field for what seemed an aggravated cramp. Left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed was brought in to finish the over.

Providing an update on Bhuvneshwar after the game, Sunrisers skipper David Warner said he was "not too sure" about the extent of injury as he was on the field and will have to check with the physio.

"I am not too sure, have to speak to the physio, can answer this question when we have more information," quoted Warner at the post-match press conference.

Notably, Khaleel conceded 15 runs off 5 balls in the penultimate over while Abdul Samad went for 20 runs in the final over but SRH eventually restricted CSK to 157/5.

Sunrisers will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in their next game on October 4.
