Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni is going to leave Suresh Raina behind as the most-capped player in the Indian Premier League (IPL). When CSK will come out to face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday (October 2), Dhoni will become the most capped player.

With 193 IPL matches, Dhoni is currently sharing the top position with Raina, who is not part of the tournament currently. Raina had returned home despite traveling to UAE.

Raina, the CSK core member cited personal reasons for his return to India and now CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has all but confirmed that Raina won't play the rest of the tournament.

Apart from IPL 2016 and 2017, when Dhoni was part of the Rising Pune Supergiant, he has rest of the IPL seasons for CSK. In the 193 IPL matches, Dhoni has scored 4476 runs at an average of 42.22.

In the ongoing season, the 39-year-old hasn't played an impactful innings till now. In the last two seasons, Dhoni was contributing with the bat and he scored 400+ runs in both the IPLs. But this year, he has only added 44 runs in three innings till now, majorly because of the batting position he is coming to bat.

Dhoni's batting position has been criticized since the first match. He is batting at number 7 which the cricket pundits feel isn't ideal for someone with so much experience.
