The KKR pacer bounced back brilliantly after a poor outing against MI.
Yuvraj was particularly impressed with the way Cummins corrected his lengths after a poor outing against Mumbai Indians (MI) in KKR’s tournament opener.
Taking to Twitter, Yuvraj wrote, "Great come back by @patcummins30! I think great learning for young fast bowlers after getting hit in the first game how quickly he has corrected his lengths and created pressure on srh batsman! Hallmark of a quality bowler."
Notably, Cummins, this edition’s highest paid overseas recruit, failed to live up to the expectations in the first game as he conceded 49 runs in 3 overs during KKR’s crushing 49-run defeat at the hands of MI.
However, the Australian speedster bounced back brilliantly against SRH, dismissing opener Jonny Bairstow (5) cheaply. He gave away only 11 runs from the first 3 overs in the powerplay and finished with the match figures of 4-0-19-1.
Apart from Cummins, other KKR bowlers such as Varun Chakravarthy (1-25) and Sunil Narine (0-31) also bowled well as they restricted Sunrisers to 142/4 in 20 overs.
For SRH, Manish Pandey was the top-scorer with 38-ball 51 while skipper David Warner chipped in with 30-ball 36.
