Neesham made his debut for Kings XI Punjab in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham got to play his first game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after six years. When Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) took the field against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Neesham was handed over the debut cap for them.
Neesham, who was bought by KXIP at an amount of INR 50 lakh in the auction, didn't get to bat after KL Rahul's masterclass. But he did get two overs to bowl, in which the Kiwi conceded only 13 runs but couldn't pick a wicket.
A fan on Twitter complained to Neesham for not coming out to bat or picking up a wicket with the ball. He had put money on him in a fantasy game.

"I took you as my Dream11 vice-captain. You didn't bat or didn't take any wicket. Lost all money on you," wrote the Twitter user.
To which, Neesham responded with a gif from famous TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. The gif said, "Oh! I don't care".
Before KXIP, Neesham was part of Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2014, where he played four matches. He was later bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2015, but couldn't play a single match because of injury.
