KXIP will next play RR in the IPL 13 on September 27 in Dubai.
Kings XI Punjab’s (KXIP) young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has set his eyes on the dream wicket of Australia superstar and Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Steve Smith in the upcoming KXIP v RR clash in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE.
Bishnoi made his IPL debut for KXIP and has taken 4 wickets in his first two outings for the franchise and has gained enough confidence to face the world-class batsmen in the IPL 2020.
As KXIP set to take on RR in their next clash in the IPL 2020 on September 27 in Dubai, Bishnoi is eying for the crucial wicket of Steve Smith since the world’s no.1 Test batsman is a good player of spin and the young gun wants to test the Australian star with his spin magic in the ongoing tournament in the UAE.
Bishnoi told Mayank Agarwal in a video shared on IPL's official website: “Steve Smith because he plays well against spin and he is also number 1 Test batsman.”
On his feelings being a part of IPL, the young spinner said: “I am feeling very good as it is a very big stage for a youngster like me. I used to watch it on the TV and playing in it is every player's dream.”
Noteworthy, Bishnoi played a significant role in KXIP’s 97-run win over the RCB, grabbing three wickets, in their second match in the IPL 2020 on Thursday.
