RCB won their 1st match against SRH, while KXIP lost to DC in super over.

The sixth match of the IPL 2020 will see Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) taking on KL Rahul’s Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). While RCB won their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, KXIP felt they were robbed off a win against Delhi Capitals in a match that was decided via super over.

While KXIP will be looking for their victory in the tournament, while RC B will want to continue their good luck and keep winning the matches. Hence Team COC presents the Predicted Playing XIs for Kings XI Punjab v Royal Challengers Bangalore.

KINGS XI PUNJAB (KXIP)

The Kings XI Punjab didn’t do much wrong in their innings against Delhi Capitals. Mayank Agarwal played an amazing knock to almost take them home. And he will be tasked with doing the same against a formidable RCB side.

KL Rahul didn’t continue after getting a start, something he would like to avoid against RCB, who have a very good batting lineup.

However, the Punjab unit needs its middle order to fire up, which didn’t against DC. Karun, Maxwell, Pooran, and Sarfaraz need to build on the opening given by Rahul and Mayank and then give the team’s total.

All the three batsmen are fierce hitters of the ball and take apart any bowlers at any time, seizing the momentum required for a big total, or in a big chase.

Sheldon Cottrell and Mohammad Shami were brilliant with the ball, as was the debutant Ravi Bishnoi, but they will have their work cut out against the likes of Finch, Kohli, De Villiers, and Padikkal, who had a brilliant debut as well.

KXIP will be hoping that their two all-rounders K Gowtham and Chris Jordan do well with the ball. Gowtham showed his prowess with the bat, but his bowling left much to be desired, while Jordan was taken apart by Stoinis in the death overs.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE (RCB)

Royal Challengers Bangalore started their IPL 2020 on a winning note after a long time and it was all thanks to their two stalwarts in AB de Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal. And they unearthed a brilliant talent in Devdutt Padikkal, who looked at ease on such a huge platform.

Now they face a seething KXIP, who felt they were robbed of a win due to umpire error against DC.

Though Padikkal did the majority of work in the powerplays, RCB will want Aaron Finch to pitch in as well. He made runs at 100 strike rate, which was not expected from him and he got out when the time came for him to tee off after setting himself up.

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are on another stratosphere when it comes to T20 cricket and De Villiers showed why experience always comes good in crunch times. However, they do have a problem on their hands when it comes to their all-rounders as Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar.

Their combined four overs will be what Kohli looking to get done with minimal damage. Dube did well picking 2 wickets but has to come good with the bat as well.

Chahal proved to be Kohli’s trump card with the ball, while Navdeep Saini and Dale Steyn impressed with pace and movement on UAE pitches. However, their experienced Indian bowler Umesh Yadav seemed out of sorts, giving away 48 runs in 4 overs he bowled, without sending down a single over in death overs.

It remains a concern for Kohli if Umesh remains expensive in coming matches as well.

KXIP Predicted Playing XIs:

KL Rahul (C&WK), Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Nicholas Pooran, Glenn Maxwell, Sarfaraz Khan, K Gowtham, Chris Jordan, Mohammad Shami, Sheldon Cottrell, Ravi Bishnoi

RCB Predicted Playing XIs:

Devdutt Padikkal, Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Shivam Dube, Josh Phillippe (WK), Washington Sundar, Umesh Yadav, Dale Steyn, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal
