Russell's straight hit struck the camera, breaking it in million pieces.
He showed what he can do with the bat in IPL 2019 when he slammed 510 runs at a strike rate of over 200 and hit 52 sixes during the course of the tournament. He won KKR matches from situations where they needed 57 runs in the last 3 overs against RCB and he slammed 49* in just 13 balls in that innings.
IPL 2020: Karthik to oversee Russell’s workload on the field, says KKR coach Brendon McCullum
Russell will be in action for KKR when they take on MI in their first match of the IPL 2020 at Abu Dhabi on September 23. The last time these two teams met in IPL 2019, KKR scored 232/2 in 20 overs with Russell slamming 80* in 40 balls with 8 sixes and they beat MI by 34 runs.
The big burly Bajan was seen hitting some lusty blows during the net practice before the match and unfortunately, during that session, one of Russell’s straighter hits caught the camera that was kept near the nets for capturing his hitting.
The camera broke the instant ball hit it and Russell shared the video of it on his Instagram with the caption reading,” Sorry about ur camera bro!????????”
