Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings to a victory in the opening match against Mumbai Indians.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni recognized the efforts of the support team who worked day and night to make the Indian Premier League (IPL) happen.
IPL 2020 was under a lot of doubt after the world got hit by the Coronavirus pandemic. The initial schedule of IPL 2020 was in March, which was postponed by BCCI when the number of COVID-19 cases in India started rising and the lockdown was imposed.

Finally, after getting clearance from the government and cricket body in UAE, BCCI managed to keep the possibility of IPL 2020 alive.
Dhoni, in the post-match presentation, thanked the support team who don't get much credit for their work. He lauded the facilities they got in UAE, whether it's practice facilities or during the match.
Sharing the video on Twitter, IPL's official Twitter account wrote, "'An amazing job by each and every individual who is a part of the IPL,' MS Dhoni on #Dream11IPL #MIvCSK."
After Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets in the first match, Delhi Capitals will face Kings XI Punjab in the second match on Sunday.
