Andre Russell has made quite a reputation for himself in the IPL especially after his exploits in the IPL 2019 where he smashed 510 runs with 52 sixes to his name. He won KKR multiple games in the last 4-5 overs while chasing a stiff target and something similar will be expected of him in IPL 2020 as well.

However, his powerful and fearless hitting has made his KKR teammate Kuldeep Yadav scared for his life, as he says that when Russell goes for the big shots in the net sessions as sometimes his mishits come straight back at the bowler.

To be very honest I don’t like to bowl to Andre Russell during the nets sessions because you tend to get scared when he goes for the big one, and sometimes he misses out and it comes straight to you,” Kuldeep Yadav told News 18.

However, Kuldeep said that he has learnt a lot about how to deliver in death overs by bowling to Russell in nets. “Difficult to adjust yourself but yeah, if you are bowling to him you get a lot of experience to bowl in death overs or big-hitting batsmen. It’s a good experience for me and he’s definitely one of the best T20 players and we’re lucky to have him,” Kuldeep said.

Kuldeep also talked about restarting playing professionally once again after a long break due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"If I'm not bowling for 10 days I will be in a totally different zone. So for me, it's totally different. I don't know about the batsmen but if I'm not bowling for 10 days I really feel like I've forgotten my skill and attitude towards the game. So it's very important to keep working hard. I like to bowl more and more, and I'm pushing myself," Kuldeep said.

KKR will start their IPL 2020 campaign against title-holders Mumbai Indians at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 23.
