Akshar Patel is raring to go in IPL 2020.
Delhi Capitals’ (DC) all-rounder Akshar Patel on Tuesday (September 16) said the franchise has covered all the bases and he feels the side has enough firepower to win the upcoming 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
DC had reached the playoffs in the IPL 2019 and this time around, the Delhi-based franchise would certainly look to go one better and win their maiden IPL crown in the UAE.
For the IPL 2020, the DC has a strong squad comprising the international stars like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada, Shimron Hetmyer and Chris Woakes apart from many young guns and Axar feels the franchise can become champions this season.

As per PTI, Akshar stated: “With the new changes, I think the squad looks good. With fast bowlers, spinners and all-rounders, we have covered all the bases and I think we can become champions this time. Everyone looks positive in the nets and we all are in good shape.”
The all-rounder also insisted that he has “ticked all the boxes” in every department after being asked about how he is preparing for the first IPL 13 match against Kings XI Punjab on 19th September.
He signed off by saying, “First of all, it feels really good to be back playing on the ground after being off from cricket for a long time due to lockdown. Since we are in the tournament week, it feels really good and the boys are in a positive mind frame. I feel I am practicing with a positive mindset. I have ticked all the boxes in bowling, batting, and fielding, so I think I have prepared well enough.”
