The upcoming season of IPL will be played in a bio-secure bubble with everybody associated with the tournament undergoing several checks for COVID-19 ever since they left for the United Arab Emirates.

Players and support staff are only shuffling between their team hotels and the cricket stadiums for outdoor practice sessions. Nobody is allowed to break the bubble and travel around due to the virus threat.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener in Abu Dhabi.
