The thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League, also called the IPL 2020 was supposed to commence this March but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was suspended, and finally, this season is set to begin on 19th September in UAE.
As usual, eight teams are taking part in it. Defending champions Mumbai Indians are once again the favorites to win the title and other teams like Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore too are expected to give a good fight.
Sunrisers Hyderabad - champions of IPL 2016, will look to clinch their second-ever title and this time they have re-appointed their star player David Warner as captain. The opening pair of Warner and Bairstow will be their trump cards like last season and the likes of Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, and Vijay Shankar will take the middle order's responsibility.
This year they have added finishers like Fabian Allen and Mitchell Marsh who along with Mohammad Nabi will be crucial in the lower order. They also have some local talented youngsters like Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad.
In the bowling, they have an experienced attack of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, and Siddharth Kaul and youngsters like Khaleel Ahmad, Billy Stanlake, and T Natarajan. Overall they also have a balanced squad who will challenge other teams for sure.
