The IPL 2020 begins from September 19 onwards.
The whole tournament will be played in three bio-secure venues in Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, and recently the BCCI released the schedule of the tournament’s league stages as well.
All the eight teams have begun their outdoor training with CSK being the last to do so after their 6-day quarantine was extended to 14 days, as 13 members tested positive for Coronavirus. Some of the teams have moved to Sharjah for net sessions and practice and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is one of them.

Their head coach Anil Kumble is one of the most successful bowlers in the IPL, having played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2008-2010 and led the team to the finals in IPL 2009. Kumble gave his fans and followers of KXIP a massive nostalgia boost in one of the recent net sessions.
Kumble, who retired from the game totally in 2010 and has been seen in various coaching positions over the years, was seen bowling the nets to KXIP batsmen. The KXIP Twitter account shared a short video clip of Kumble in his bowling stride with the caption reading, “Nostalgia 101”.
KXIP will play their first game against Delhi Capitals on September 20 in Dubai.
