The franchise confirmed that the physio had turned out positive on third test after arrival in UAE.
It was also informed that the physio, whose name has not been mentioned, had his third test resulting positive after the first two had been done as per the pre-designed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) upon arrival in UAE.

“Delhi Capitals Assistant Physiotherapist has tested positive for COVID-19. He was going through his mandatory quarantine, and had tested negative for his first two tests conducted on arrival in Dubai, and tested positive for the third one," the franchise stated in a media release.
Further confirmed was that the physio hadn't come in contact with the rest of the staff or any player.
"He was yet to meet with, and had not been in contact with any players or staff of the franchise. He was isolated immediately, and is currently at the IPL Isolation Facility in Dubai for the next 14 days, at the end of which he will have to produce two negative reports for him to be able to join the Delhi Capitals squad."
"The franchise’s medical team is in constant touch with him, and wishes him a speedy recovery."
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) twelve support staff personnel and two players had tested COVID-19 positive.
Delhi Capitals begin their IPL 2020 with a fixture against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Dubai on September 20.
