CSK has already lost the services of the premier batsman and Vice-captain Suresh Raina, who has gone back to India citing the health concerns of his kids and family after the CSK contingent experienced a COVID-19 attack with 13 members testing positive for the virus.
This included Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad as well. Though now the members have recovered from the virus and tested negative after isolation and treatment, Chahar and Gaikwad will remain in quarantine, while the CSK players begin outdoor training from September 4 onwards.

Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh has remained in India and had not participated in the five-day CSK camp in Chennai, as reportedly, his mother is ill.
Now it has been confirmed that the veteran off-spinner, who won the IPL with the yellow army in 2018, will not be traveling to the UAE for play in the IPL 2020. He confirmed the news of opting out of the upcoming IPL 2020 to PTI and cited personal reasons for doing so.
Harbhajan Singh also shared the unfortunate news with his fans on Twitter and posted, "Dear Friends, I will not be playing IPL this year due to personal reasons. These are difficult times and I would expect some privacy as I spend time with my family. @ChennaiIPL CSK management has been extremely supportive and I wish them a great IPL Stay safe and Jai Hind"
