Suresh Raina was the vice-captain of Chennai Super Kings for a long time.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Suresh Raina had decided to pull out of the competition last week, citing personal reasons. There was news of a rift between him and CSK management, but he cleared it's all rumors.
Raina was the vice-captain of CSK and now the position is vacant in the absence of him. A fan wanted to know who would be appointed as the deputy of CSK skipper MS Dhoni.

The official Twitter account responded to the fan and dropped an interesting answer. "Wise captain irukke bayam yen? ????????," replied the CSK Twitter handle in Tamil which translates to 'Why fear when the wise captain is here?' in English.
Recently, Raina spoke to Cricbuzz about the matter and said, "When the bio-bubble is not safe how does one take a chance? I have a family with two little kids -- and elderly parents. For me returning to the family was more important."
"It was a tough decision. CSK is also like my family but when the face of my kids surfaced in Dubai and the COVID situation was not looking good, I decided to return," he added.
Raina also denied a rift with Dhoni, "Mahibhai is like my elder brother. These are all fabricated stories."
