IPL 2020: "I have got a solid captain. Dhoni is simply unfazed by anything" says N Srinivasan

MS Dhoni has calmed things down in the CSK camp after 13 members tested positive for COVID-19.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were dealt with a major blow as a total of 13 members from the franchise had tested positive for COVID-19. It not only postponed their practice sessions for a few days but also spread panic and fear among the rest of the team.

In such a fearful situation, it is no surprise that the man to calm things down is the skipper, MS Dhoni. CSK CEO N Srinivasan spoke to Outlook India and told them how confident Dhoni was of having everything under control.

He said, “I spoke to MS(Dhoni) and he has assured me that even if the numbers go up, there was nothing to worry about. He spoke to the players through a zoom call and asked them to remain safe.

He even called MS a solid captain and revealed how unfazed he was by everything. When his teammates are panicking, Dhoni calmed them down and gave them confidence.

I have got a solid captain. Dhoni is simply unfazed by anything. That is giving everyone in the team a lot of confidence,” he added.

The entire CSK squad had to be kept in quarantine because the 13 members that were tested positive earlier. Once their quarantine period comes to an end, they will be re-tested and will be allowed to re-enter the bio-secure bubble only if they test negative.

If there are no more positive cases, the team will be allowed to train soon.
