The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team led by MS Dhoni touched down in Dubai after leaving India on Friday, August 21. The players will adhere to the BCCI SOPs and hence were tested for COVID-19 before leaving India and on arrival in UAE.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni was seen giving up his business class seat to franchise director K George John on the flight and took his seat in economy class instead, as John was not comfortable due to his height in the cramped economy class seat.

The Dubai Sports Council shared a video of CSK players landing in Dubai and undergoing COVID-19 tests on arrival, which featured a shot of MS Dhoni giving his swab for the testing. The video also featured the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad also undergoing the same procedure.

All members of the eight franchises will remain under quarantine for six days and will be tested three times during this period. If the players return all the tests negative, only then they will be allowed to join the practice sessions. The players will also be tested on every fifth day for the duration of the tournament.
