MS Dhoni will be leading the CSK team in the IPL 2020 which begins on Sept 19 in UAE.
During the training sessions, 39-year-old CSK skipper MS Dhoni was seen in full flow, as he smashed bowlers into the empty stands of the MS Chidambaram stadium, on Thursday. Dhoni, along with Suresh Raina, announced retirements from international cricket in midst of that camp itself.

“Dhoni is striking the ball very well. And there were plenty of sixes in all directions. Dhoni was his usual self, relaxed, confident, and happy.” Talking to Sportstar, CSK CEO K.S. Viswanathan said.
“The boys had not trained for a long time and this was good for them. Coming after a break, they did not stretch themselves fully. That could have led to injuries. But the cricketers gradually found their rhythm. There will be another six days of quarantine for the team once we land in Dubai. So I would say the camp here was vital for many players,” the CEO said that the five-day camp in Chennai has served its purpose.
The Chennai Super Kings’ players left for Dubai, where they will set up base on Friday.
