Yagnik, the former Royals wicketkeeper batsman, has been part of its support staff since 2018.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) have been dealt a blow before their departure to UAE for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), beginning September 19.
The team's fielding coach, Dishant Yagnik, has been tested COVID-19 positive.

Yagnik, the former Rajasthan Ranji Trophy captain who played 50 first-class and 41 List A matches, himself confirmed the development via Twitter on Wednesday (August 12).
As per the BCCI protocols for each IPL-bound individual, he will have to quarantine for 14 days and can only rejoin the squad when he twice tests negative of Coronavirus contraction.
"Hi all, I hv tested COVID +. Pls get tested if you hv been in contact with me in the last 10 days. In line wd BCCI protocols I will be now quarantining for 14 days. I will then need 2 ngtv tests b4 joining the team @rajasthanroyals in UAE. Thx 4 yr blessings & good wishes!", Yagnik tweeted.
In a media release, the Royals confirmed that Yagnik was tested in his hometown (Udaipur) and was not in close proximity with any of their or other IPL players in the last 10 days.
The left-hand batsman and wicketkeeper has played 25 IPL matches, the last of which came back in 2014, scoring his runs at a strike-rate of 124.09.
Yagnik joined Rajasthan Royals as fielding coach ahead of IPL 2018 and has been part of the support staff for the franchise since.
