VIVO is a Chinese mobile phone manufacturing company.
The India-China border tension in the Galwan Valley led to a massive boycott Chinese products movement in India and BCCI was also asked to change their sponsors VIVO who make their phones in China. However, after consulting the legal team, the board decided to honor the sponsorship agreement.
"The BCCI has taken this decision after the perusal of the sponsorship agreement and the ownership pattern and upon receiving legal advice in the matter," a BCCI official told IANS.

"Taking note of the border skirmish that resulted in the martyrdom of our brave jawans, the IPL Governing Council has convened a meeting next week to review IPL's various sponsorship deals," the official handle of IPL on Twitter had said on June 19.
Indian and Chinese soldiers clashed at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Galwan Valley and 20 Indian personnel were martyred.
BCCI also revealed that the Indian government had given the green signal to them to move IPL 2020 to UAE and that the final of the tournament will be played on November 10.
