Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star batsman Suresh Raina, who is with the franchise since beginning, knows his captain MS Dhoni very well. He lauded the leadership of Dhoni and also called his moves spot on.

Raina said Dhoni does well in keeping the game under control from behind the stumps. His decisions have often turned out to be vital.

"Every move he makes is spot on. He knows how to use different bowlers in different situations, controls everything from behind the stumps. He watches everything closely," Raina was quoted as saying by CSK website.

Dhoni has had a very successful run with CSK. In 10 seasons, he managed to lead the side to 8 IPL finals, and they won three out of them.

Raina talked about his improvement in the franchise too. He said sharing a dressing room with experienced lefties like Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey, and Stephen Fleming helped him get better.

"I improved over the years playing for CSK I got to play with so many quality left-handers-(Mathew Hayden), (Michael) Hussey, (Stephen) Fleming, Albie (Morkel), Kepler Wessels (CSK coach in 2008), Ravindra Jadeja," Raina said.

The CSK vice-captain rated his knock in IPL 2010 final against Mumbai Indians of 57* runs as his best IPL innings. He said, "the wicket was difficult and they were bowling really well".

Raina also commented on the COVID-19 pandemic and told everyone to follow the guidelines.

"It is very important to stay at home and follow government guidelines during the lockdown for us to overcome the pandemic," he said.
